The American Board of Podiatric Medicine (ABPM) and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow (RCPSG) signed an unprecedented partnership agreement to qualify ABPM Diplomates in good standing for RCPSG Membership or Fellowship in the Faculty of Podiatric Medicine.
This exclusive relationship between the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow and the American Board of Podiatric Medicine is based on the mutually recognized need to further develop postgraduate knowledge, skills and expertise in podiatric medicine and healthcare globally, for the benefit of patient care and safety.
The Royal College recognizes the ABPM certification as an entry qualification for Membership or Fellowship. Diplomates with less than 3 years of post-training practice experience are eligible to enroll as Members, those with more than 3 years of experience qualify for Fellowship. These Diplomates may then take advantage of the Royal College’s storied reputation and extensive resources to raise their knowledge-base and professional prestige within the United States. ABPM will also jointly sponsor the development and delivery of CME/CECH and CC resources for Diplomates, expanding educational opportunities and CC flexibility for podiatrists in the U.S., certified by ABPM and enrolled in the College. The Royal College will benefit from access to ABPM’s large pool of engaged Diplomates, bringing a diversity of clinical and professional expertise to its membership, as well as the visibility and resources that a partnership with ABPM provides.

1. Gather your application materials: Residency Completion Certificate, Board Certification Diploma, and your Updated Curriculum Vitae.
2. Submit these materials by email, including your request for either Membership or Fellowship in the RCPSG to: RCPSGapplications@podiatryboard.org.
3. Wait for an email from the RCPSG, be sure to monitor your spam/junk email folders just in case. Once received and approved, complete the application for your chosen faculty affiliation and pay your dues. Members and Fellows of the Faculty of Podiatric Medicine will be permitted to add the appropriate post-nominal to their names: MFPM RCPS(Glasg) for members, or FFPM RCPS(Glasg) for fellows.
