How long does the process take?
Applications open in June and are processed within approximately one week. Once approved, a link to schedule your exam will be sent to you via the email provided. The exam takes place on your choice of two dates in October. The exam length is 400 minutes. Exam results are released 6-8 weeks after completion.
Is ABPM Certification recognized?
ABPM certification is widely recognized across hospitals, health systems, and credentialing bodies.
What is the cost?
The ABPM Board Certification Examination fee is $1,750, which includes a non-refundable $250 application fee due at submission. The remaining balance becomes non-refundable after the application deadline (if applicable). Candidates who miss their scheduled exam will incur a $150 rescheduling fee, which may be waived by ABPM in cases of documented, unforeseen circumstances.
